Duck Tales! |
Charlotte
and Linda have their hands full these days caring for injured ducks ! We
think they should establish a foundation and officially rehabilitate
these birds.
Charlotte's house on the palisades along the Kentucky River is moving along -- the deck should be up before the end of June. Linda has just recovered from minor surgery on her shoulder and is doing well. Charlotte continues to be active in politics and Kentucky nursing venues. While she is modest - We don't mind telling that she was recently honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Kentucky Nurses Association where her collective bargaining efforts were duly noted . Charlotte joined us in Ireland for a week to research further her family lineage - The Lanes. We traveled to Tipperary and stopped at the home place "LanesPark" and the cemetery where ancestors were buried. We spent a bit of time in Dublin researching and visiting Trinity College where we viewed the Book of Kells. Charlotte continues with several of her cousins in the quest to complete their geneology. Her next destination, she says, may be England to learn more of the Drewitts. They both headed for the fireworks display "Thunder Over Louisville" this past weekend and we will catch up with them at Spindletop Hall the day after the Derby via Charlotte's gracious invitation to brunch! I'm sure we'll have more news then. Stay tuned for more....duck tales! |
